SECURITY & DATA PROTECTION
Protecting customer publications and account information is an important part of how HB Flipbook is built. We use multiple safeguards designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse or disclosure.
Private file storage
Uploaded PDFs and generated publication assets are stored in private storage. Public viewers receive time-limited access to files required to display an authorized publication.
Account protection
HB Flipbook uses managed authentication and server-side authorization controls to protect accounts and restrict access to customer information.
Workspace isolation
Access controls are designed to prevent one customer's private workspace information, unpublished publications, leads and analytics from being accessed by another customer.
Password-protected publications
Password-protected publications use server-side and database-level access controls. Publication viewing passwords are not stored as readable plaintext passwords.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. HB Flipbook does not receive or store complete credit or debit card numbers.
Administrative access
Administrative functionality is protected separately from normal customer access. Sensitive account entitlements and administrative settings cannot be changed directly by ordinary customer accounts.
Data location
HB Flipbook is operated by a Canadian company but currently uses cloud infrastructure located in the United States.
Artificial intelligence
HB Flipbook does not currently send uploaded publications, leads or customer content to artificial intelligence services.
Responsible security language
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We continually review the safeguards used by HB Flipbook and may update them as the service evolves.
