Before you start

  • A finished PDF — the pages you upload are the pages readers will see.
  • An HB Flipbook account. The Free plan is enough to publish your first flipbook.
  • A few minutes. Most of the time is spent uploading and processing the PDF.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Create your account

Sign up with your email or Google account. If you already tried the uploader on the homepage, you'll be asked to sign up before that PDF is turned into a saved publication.
  2. Step 2: Choose New publication

From your dashboard or the Publications page, select New publication and pick your PDF. HB Flipbook checks the file size against your plan before uploading.
  3. Step 3: Review the pages

When processing finishes the editor opens on the Content tab. Flip through the pages to check everything came across as expected. Links already in your PDF are detected and made clickable.
  4. Step 4: Set the basics on the Settings tab

Give the flipbook a clear Title and Description, check the URL slug (the part after /v/ in the link), and choose a Viewer mode: page flip, scroll, or both.
  5. Step 5: Optional: brand it and add elements

Use the Branding tab for colours, theme and logo, and the Content tab's Add element button for links, buttons and video. See adding links and buttons.
  6. Step 6: Press Publish

Publish is in the editor's top bar. Once it's published, the Share tab activates with your link, QR code, embed code and social sharing.

What to do next

Once it's live, share the link or embed it on your website. For a broader overview of the whole process, read how to turn a PDF into a flipbook.
