How to Use Flipbook Analytics

Short answer

Open a publication and select the Analytics tab. It shows Total views, Unique sessions, Avg pages / session and Completion, plus Views by page — so you can see how far people read and which pages get the most attention.

Updated · 4 min read

What each number means

  • Total views — how many times the flipbook was opened.
  • Unique sessions — individual reading visits.
  • Avg pages / session — how many pages a typical visit covers.
  • Completion — the share of sessions that reached the end.
  • Views by page — a bar for every page, showing where attention goes and where readers drop off.

Turning numbers into decisions

  • Low completion with a sharp drop on one page? Move key content earlier or shorten what comes before it.
  • A page with unusually high views is a good place for a Button / CTA.
  • Compare flipbooks in the Publications list to see which formats hold attention best.

Analytics are recorded while the Analytics switch on the publication's Settings tab is on.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan includes reader analytics?

Detailed reader analytics are part of the Pro and Business plans. See the pricing page for what's included on your plan.

Can I see who each reader is?

Analytics are anonymous. To know who's reading, use a lead capture form (Pro and above).

Is this the same as Google Analytics?

No. These numbers are collected by HB Flipbook itself. GA4 is a separate, optional connection that sends events to your own Google Analytics property.

Why does a page show fewer views than page 1?

That's normal — some readers stop before the end. Views by page shows where.
